KEYWORD Searching:
- Click on the Continue button.
- Type video games and violence in the box.
- Click on the Search button.
- The first 10 citations will display automatically.
- To see the citation/abstract or the whole article (if available) click on the title
of the article. (or click on
or
)
REFINING a Search:
- Click on the Result List or the Back button on your browser
to return to your list of citations.
- Click on the Refine Search tab.
- Click in the box next to Full Text.
- Click in the box next to Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals .
- Click on the Search button.
- All your results should now be full text academic journal articles (not
magazines or popular articles).
- TIP: There are several ways to refine your search - you do not have
to use them all.
- You may also click on the Advanced Search tab
if you would like to limit your search by date or publication type.
SUBJECT Searching:
- Click on the Subject Terms button at the top of the screen.
- Type cloning in the box at the top and click on the Browse
button.
- Click on cloning.
- You will see the subject heading cloning, as well as broader terms and
narrower terms.
- Mark the box(es) next to the subject term(s) you wish to use.
- Then click on the Search button at the top.
PRINTING:
- Click on the title of the full text article you want.
- Click on
Print
located both at the top and the bottom of the article.
- Click on the Print and then OK.
- TIP: It is safer to print/email your articles one at a time - less
chance for error.
EMAILING:
- Click on the title of the full text article you want.
- Click on
E-mail
located both at the top and the bottom of the article.
- Type in your email address and Send.
To EXIT:
- Click on the X in the upper right corner of the screen.
Click here if you want to
print a copy of the tutorial instead of doing it online.
